So i just bought a new sata 500gb hard drive for my computer. I put it in the computer without any problem, but now that i am starting it up i get a message that at first is a wait process on a black screen, then it tells me to install a boot agent or reboot and put in boot media. Well my question is what is the boot agent, and what should i do?
Windows or whatever operating system you use is not installed on the drive. Drop in your installation CD, fire up the machine and follow the on-screen prompts. Once you have an installed operating system (and have reinstalled your applications) you will be able to use the machine normally.
