What is the gel on the cucumber I sliced?
I had a 1/2 of an unpeeled cucumber in a plastic produce bag in the vegetable drawer of my fridge. The cucumber is still fresh, but there are droplets of gel oozing around the edges of the sliced end. At first i thought it was ice droplets (i.e. veggie drawer too cold) but no, it's clear gel-like. This ever happen to your cuke? and what IS it?

1 green or golden apple cut into slices
1/2 small uncooked beet
5 celery stalks, ends trimmed

1/2- to 1-inch piece ginger root, peeled
In a juicer, push through apple, beet, celery, lemon, and ginger. Stir the juice and pour into a glass. Serve at room temperature or chilled, as desired.
Watermelon Carrot Chiller

8 Large Carrots
3 Large Rindless Watermelon Wedges
1 Large Fresh Mint Sprig
In a juicer, push through carrots and watermelon wedges. Chill for at least one hour. Garnish with fresh mint sprig.
Cool Cuke and Honeydew Fizz

In a blender, pulse cucumber and honeydew until smooth. Add sparkling water and blend thoroughly. Pour over ice or chill and finish with a squeeze of lime.
