How to Change an Internal Drive to a Back up External Drive?
My old computers motherboard died and is propietary. I opted to get a new cpu. How do I take the old internal drive {already removed and in shock proof bag} and transfer it to use as an external back up drive.
Old OS ME, new OS XP. I want it external so that i can grab and go when the next Hurricane comes and i don't have to lose my photos and music. Please make the process baby steps!
Buy an external case and then you just hook it up as you would with any other hard drive, Fire-wire connections are fastest but you can also use a USB 2.0 connection

Types of Hard Drive Failure and Data Recovery
Hard drive is the most important part of a computer system, which stores all your data, applications and operating system.
