How do I install a pci express graphics card in my my laptop?
I know my laptop has a pcie slot. But where is it and how would I stick the card in? The card has little s-video ports or whatever, so I know it must come out somewhere. Also, does it matter if my card is ddr2 or ddr3 or gddr3 or whatever?
Mini pci-e cards are commonly used for wireless cards in laptops.
Pci express graphics cards are for desktops not laptops.
A Comparison between Gateway DX4840-15 and Gateway DX4831-03
Nowadays people usually prefer convenience than being technical of their desktop. Now with more innovations from Gateway, the units are almost similar. Just like the Gateway DX4840-15 and the DX4831-03.

DX4840-15 Design
