Well we don't know for 100% sure, no one does. I think fans who do say they know 100% aren't really open minded.
I do think he is innocent just from what I have read from transcripts and people who were there during the case. Some people went in thinking he was guilty and went out knowing for sure he wasn't.
The thing is, he was given an OJ style trial so he would look guilty. It was all planned by the family. It was well timed.
People who knew him said he was happy during the trial and very relaxed because he knew he was innocent. He was heart broken though when reporters yelled abuse at him down the hallway after he had been found not guilty of all charges. That is why he has that sad face on when he exists the court on the last day. He thought people would finally believe him but they didn't. He was on the verge of tears.
I realise there are strange things like the boy he masterbated to over the phone, that IS strange. However, he was younger then, and even though an adult he was very imature. He was diagnosed as having the mentality of a 12 year old, so he could easily have done something stupid, maybe on drugs and not realised. He did appologise for that and it was a long time before the next alligations which were very strange. They stayed at his house even after it was suspected he was doing it. What parent would keep their child at the house of a molester? There is a diary entry BUT its the kind of diary entry any teenager would make about a fantasy. It sounds overly romantic and very fantasised. The boy was gay and so it is very likely he had fantasies about MJ and wrote it in his diary, I have done this about people before myself. They gave explicit details of what had happened and not once did the father run away with the boy, he kept him there! And when he finally DID want to charge him he demanded money and then shut up once he payed. Even if he DID molest the boy, the father would have played a part in keeping his child in a risky situation and then risked the hundreds of children who regularly stayed with him by not speaking up and warning them. It's not logical.
The second one is VERY much a scam. Total scam, complete blackmail I don't believe that one for a second. The first and the phone one is a litttttle shady I can't say 100% that he was innocent on those.
But you know, I was thinking, if he did do that stuff he must have had something mentally going on, like split personality disorder because that is a disorder which you can develop if you have had severe abuse in childhood. Often the person has no memory of things they have done and their two or three personalities are often very different from one another. THAT is the ONLY explanation I can think of if he ever was proven. But even then I find it hard because surely SOMEONE would have seen him change. He was still a genius. If he did have a problem, well it's just another one on top of all the others issues he had in his life. To me it's not so much as criminal but more tragic. No one should ever live a life like that, and I think guilty or not that was what he was trying to change in the world. He did a lot of good.
