How long would it take for a white person's skin to turn to leather if he/she lived permanently in Hawaii?
I am from South Carolina. I don't know if the sun is worse there in Hawaii.
If I always use sunscreen everyday would it be ok, and would my skin age just like it would living in SC or any other cooler/colder place?
I grew up in Alabama, and yeah, the sun here is much stronger, even though South Carolina gets more uncomfortably hot and humid in the summer (love your mountains and beach, though, hafta say). If you use sunscreen every day and try to stay out of the sun between 9 AM and 3 PM, you'll be OK.
China's leather industry development trend and future direction
2008 is a very special year for China and the world economy is facing a series of hot and difficult problems, RMB appreciation, rising raw material, macro-economic control, especially the recent outbreak of the international financial crisis, are inevitably our country by the international leather industry superposition of the domestic impact of multiple adverse factors, the development has encountered many new difficulties and new challenges, how to make China's leather industry is poised to spend a period of adjustment, resulting in a new round of challenges to continue to gain the initiative, we need to jointly explore a new topic. To this end, I (Su Chaoying) on the following issues with common exchange:
1, the current development of the industry's overall trend of import and export profiles
Despite many negative factors, China 2008, from January to August of leather, fur and related products industry still maintained a "stable and slight" development trend of rapid growth of production, production and marketing of convergence well, new product development capabilities, profitability has been increased dependence on foreign trade continued to decline; imports and exports to grow steadily, the proportion of the trade surplus declined. The whole industry is a strong anti-risk ability.
2008 from January to August, China's leather and fur industry, production is to maintain a growth trend, but the growth rate continued to fall; sales rate to maintain a high level; export delivery value of the proportion of total sales volume continues to fall; profit growth to accelerate slightly in the previous quarter However, year on year rate; import and export growth rate come down significantly; rapid growth of industrial output growth rate eased. 2008 January-August all the state-owned enterprises and the annual sales income over 5 million yuan of non-state-owned leather, fur and related products business (hereinafter referred to above-scale enterprises) 356.5 billion yuan industrial output value, up 20.7%, chain growth rate down 0.1 percentage points year on year growth rate down 2.8 percentage points. 2008 from January to August for more than the size of leather, fur and products export delivery value of companies accounted for 38.1% share of sales value, a decline of 0.1 percentage points over the same period the previous year fell by 6.6 percentage points. From January to August this year, China exported 22,000 tons finished leather export amount of 310 million U.S. dollars, decreased by 63% year on year and 64%; 5.6 billion pairs of footwear exports, down 3.7%; export value of 18.4 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 13.3%. Among them, 790 million pairs of leather shoes exports, down 14.8%, export value of 6.62 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 1.7%. Chinese footwear imports continued to grow. From January to August this year, China imported a total of 23.4 million pairs of shoes, an increase of 84%, the amount of 490 million U.S. dollars of imports, an increase of 94%. Among them, imports of 11.53 million pairs of leather shoes, 3.3 billion U.S. dollars, respectively, year on year increase of 73.5% and 77.4%; the same time, the average unit price of China's leather shoe exports should continue to drastically increase this year, from January to August, leather skinned Shoes average export unit price 8.39 U.S. dollars, rising by 16.2%, representing a marked.
In 2007, China's footwear exports volume reached 8.488 billion U.S. dollars, export the amount of 25.305 billion U.S. dollars, compared with 2006 grew 8% and 16%, export average unit price of 2.98 U.S. dollars / double, compared with 7.25% growth in 2006. In China's footwear exports, leather shoes, the largest share of export volume reached 1.312 billion pairs, the export value 9.561 billion U.S. dollars, compared with 8.97% growth in 2006, accounting for all of our footwear exports, 37.78%; followed by the plastic shoes, 4.665 billion pairs of export volume, export value of 9.437 billion U.S. dollars, up 16.8% over 2006, accounting for 37.29% of footwear exports; textile exports of 1.738 billion pairs of shoes, face, the export value 3.879 billion U.S. dollars, increased 18.82% over 2006, accounting for footwear exports 15.33%.
In 2007, China's footwear exports of the top five markets is still the United States (32.5% of exports), EU-27 countries (18.5%), Russia (7.2%), Japan (6.9%) and Hong Kong (5.2%) . By the European Union of some Chinese leather shoes, the impact of anti-dumping, China's exports of leather footwear production in Europe increased from 2005 to 196 million pairs fell in 2007 181 million pairs, lower by 7.7%, export value increased by 15%, unit price from 7.13 U.S. dollars, up 8.3 U.S. dollars, increasing 16.4%. Guangdong Province is China's largest footwear production base, in 2007 export volume reached 3.683 billion pairs, exports amounted to 9.58 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 37.9% of total footwear exports.
To sum up, in 2007 and 2008 from January to August, China leather, fur and products industry in general has been a good development, but quite different in different sectors. Second, the current overall situation facing the industry,

From the industry itself, as the depth and breadth of China's opening-up are growing, international trade become more frequent, more complex forms of trade friction. Throughout the past 30 years of development, China's footwear production has reached more than 100 million pairs, accounting for the world's total footwear 60%; light leather production of 680 million square meters, accounting for more than 20% of world production.
We can say that we use the low cost and doubled the number of export industries spurred the rapid development of world economy and capital market has undergone major changes, relying on the traditional industrial structure and development model to seek survival and development of the era has passed, industry is bound to enter the transition period.
