how to make hp officejet 600 MFD work in intel g31 motherboard?
i upgraded my system with intel g31/33 motherboard. it has no provision for LPT port support for my hp officejet 600. i connected the printer through an adapted to USB but it is not working. it is asking for ECP option which i am not getting in the BIOS. can someone help me make my printer to work.
another point is that the hp officejet is not getting uninstalled completely and whenever i reinstal, it ask me to uninstal the previous software which is not going. i need help for this point too
Assuming your USB to parallel cable cabe with a driver CD, it should have incuded a manual on there that told you how to configure the "virtual port" in the driver to emulate ECP, this will NOT showin the BIOS as the board itself doesn't have an LPT port to set.
To help clear the driver better, open printer folder, RIGHT click on an empty space in folder, select SERVER PROPERTIES
click the DRIVERS tab, and highlight any HP drivers and click UNINSTALL
You should now be OK ro restart PC and reinstall drivers afresh.
