Is it possible to get replacement USB hubs for the Hp HP Pavilion dv2125nr Media Center Notebook PC?
I have a HP Pavilion dv2125nr Media Center Notebook PC and I used to get usb device errors now all the USB ports do is give out power to the devices but does not do anything else. I've tried deleting and restoring the usb drivers but nothing seems to work.
How old is the PC, there might be a warranty on it still. Otherwise you should make sure you have the Correct USB drivers, the HP website should help. If that still does not work then you might be out of luck, replacing components like that in a laptop is pretty expensive because they are usually part of the motherboard.

For nice Pavilion dv9000t series, HP shows that it continues to take entertainment seriously when designing its laptops like HP pavilion dv8000, HP pavilion dv4. The latest iteration of the desktop replacement incorporates a bevy of high-end components, such as a Available with Mobile AM discrete Nvidia graphics, and 17" WXGA+ (1440 x 900) Brightview standard, into Integrated wireless support for 802.11 a/b/g Wireless LAN.

I chose the option with Bluetooth so that I could connect with my phone and pda. The card offers a strong connection to any network remotely close to me. I can pick up signals from neighbors 2-3 houses away from me. This is definitely a card to have when looking for a laptop with reliable wireless.

9. Battery: an 8-cell Lithium-Ion pavilion dv9000 Battery battery. The laptop averages about 3 hours of battery life with low performance usage and a dim screen, an amazing number for a laptop this big. With more demanding usage however, it gets around 2 hours.

The operating system I chose for my system was Windows Media Center Edition. In essence, it is Windows Home with more multimedia options. I have no need for pro and the features included on MCE are pretty neat, especially for a media fanatic like myself. There is a Recovery Partition that is located on your primary hard drive for any recovery woes. When you first boot up it asks you to burn this partition onto CD/DVD. I opted for the Recovery Discs however, just in case. The system was loaded up with Bloatware when I received it, and among the bountiful programs, none of them were useful to me. After cleaning up all of the unwanted programs and cleaning my registry however, I had a near clean install.
Conclusion:
The HP dv9000 series are rather a gorgeous desktop replacement machine with large laptop battery and high features better than any seris. It is absolutely one of the best buys in the laptop markets, and I would highly recommend it to any users who are looking for a 17" laptop.
