How can I solve the problem when windows explorer crashes every time I do a google search?
I am running MS Vista, and what happens is that when I do a google search, the taskbar disappears and it displays a notification "windows explorer is restarting" and it crashes. Any ideas?
The same thing happens when I use Firefox 3.0 as well.
Try using a different explorer. I wouldn't be surprised if you have some ad ware or spy ware messing up your stuff. Microsoft designs their products for the promotion of other products not the users safety and security.
I recommend using Firefox. They have add-ons you can use to keep you more secure like. No Script- blocks harmful web pages and another one called Ad Block that will block all those advertisement pictures and links that you see on different web pages.
If you want to continue using Internet Explorer and not have your system crash the most I can recommend is doing a Mal ware check, anti virus check, Disk error check. And if that doesn't resolve your problem a Windows system restore to a previous date that IE would not crash when visiting Google.
Do You Prefer Recency in Your Search?
