How can I get the scroll to work on my touch pad?
I have Windows Vista. A Compaq laptop. Anyway when I first got it, it wouldn't scroll. I went into my control panel and got it to work for a few minutes, then it stopped. Now when I go to my control panel I can't find the touch pad option. It just has options for a mouse.
The settings for Mouse in Control Panel is what you want. For those that don't have it, the "scroller" is an area of the touchpad that works like a wheel.
I've found some MS updates (driver updates) make it quite working.
In Control Panel > "Mouse Properties > Hardware > Properties > Driver > Roll Back Driver" will get it working again. It worked for me.
