Should I do this upgrade on my computer (mobo and CPU)?

hi,
I am using this and would like to reuse all parts except mobo/cpu:
abit nf7-s mobo
amd 2500+ mobile cpu
radeon 3650 512mb agp video card
2gb ddr1 ram
380watt power supply

I need to upgrade because my current CPU does not support SSE2 and I can't run MATLAB without it. i also use this computer to play world of warcraft and right now it is really slow even with all settings at low.

Was thinking about buying this motherboard because it supports AGP, and DDR1 memory. Also has pcie slot if I want to upgrade in the future. Getting a whole new computer is out of the question for me right now because I don't have enough money for that.
ASRock 4CoreDual-SATA2 LGA 775 VIA PT880 Pro/PT880 Ultra ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

I am probably going to get a intel e5200 cpu if I do the upgrade.

Should I do this?

Your not really upgrading much, AGP is outdated and garbage, get a board with PCIE- 2.0 and if you want to change your cpu, go for a quad. Then you will upgraded and updated on new hardware.

OC-ing AMD Sempron 2400 processor?

I have successfully managed to overclock from 1.67GHZ to 2.1GHZ stable with my Sempron 2400+ and an Abit NF7-S2 board.A safe speed would be as high as you can go while still stable, at the same time if your temps are cool (50-55C full CPU load) you are set to go.In the mean time you can get that CPU to at LEAST 2.2GHZ easily...here is my spec

I have a Sempron 2600+ (166x11) running at 200x11, Prime95 stable. WHen you say temps 50-55 full load; my temperatures vary very little from 53, whether its idle or full load, it doesn't seem to change that much.As far as the max temp of the cpu, I use 55 as a general guideline with my Sempron. The CPU may reach 55 for a "quick second" but normally peaks at 50-52.5C, so I reach for a max high of 49-50C. That would most likely serve your CPU well also.
my Overclocking & Computer Modification

Me overclocked my pro. to sempron 2800 its at 2001 mhz and I have had it at about 2.3 but that's finikysp. How ever i just used the onboard bios features on my asrock k7vm3 motherboard. But i should tell if that is a socket 939 board you should be able to use the bios to overclock the cpu and furthermore that cpu kinda sucks again no offense. Specifically next to AMD ATHLON 64 3400+ Overclocked to 3GHZ which is much better than some jerk off P4 POS as it doesn't have the bus speed of the AMD series processors.
