What wires do I need to connect my dell computer with vista to my older toshiba MV13L3 tv?
I want to know what I would need in order to play my movies I have on my Dell Dimension E520 PC to my Toshiba MV13L3 TV. Another thing that might pose a problem is that I use Gom player instead of Windows Media player. I'm looking for the cheapest, yet effective way to make this connection
I don't know what input that TV has but an S-video cord may work, if your laptop doesn't have an S-video port you will need a conversion cord from the monitor port (blue multipin one). If the tv is older you will need a something to convert to RCA (yellow, red and white prongs). If it is even older and only has a coaxial input you will have to connect the computer to a component (dvd player/ rf switch) which is connected to the tv.
I should note, I've tried using TV's as screens before and had little successful with a quality picture, but it never hurts to try!
